Clay

Image
Description: In this we made a pinch pot with leaves on top of the pot. We made the pot first while using a ball of clay, the molded into the pot. We used the rest of the clay to make the leaves. We used scoring to connect the leaves to the pot. Then painted the pot.  Activity: An extension could do is have the students is having them research the life of a plant and see what they need to survive. Look up different types of plants.

Vince Von Gough

Image
Description: In this we had to make a piece of art like Starry Night. We then made our own collage of the artwork. We used tissue paper for the backgrounds design. Then used black construction paper for a design at the bottom. Activity: An activity could be done is using this design to make a work of their life. They can make things they like or do in their life while using the tissue design in the background.

Drawing

Image
Description: we first used construction paper for the background. Then made 4 boxes with paper, then drew and colored in those boxes about us. In the boxes I made food plate because I like to eat, made a football because I love to play football. In the other box, made the movie cars because I enjoy watching movies. The last box I drew my family because I love spending time with them.  Activity: A activity could do is a math lesson. Students will need to do in separate boxes is addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Draw out the numbers of an equation, color them in and make a design around them.

Paper chain snake

Image
Description: In this we started by shaping the head and the tail of the snake. We then cut out the body of the snake. We measured the length of the body. After that we put one piece of paper to another one then glued them down. After putting the snake together, we used white and black paint to make the face and a design to our snake.  Activity: An Activity could do is a paper chain wall. Before they glue the papers together, they can write a word or positive message on that paper. Then put them all together to be hung on the wall to see.

Print Making

Image
Description: In this I made a penguin in Antarctica. We first used a Styrofoam plate to trace out animals and habitats. We had to press hard so paint wouldn't cover up what we traced. We used a roller for the paint, we covered the whole roller with paint. We painted the Styrofoam then put it onto another paper. Pressed hard so it will show up.  Activity: An activity they could do is research the habitat they did and see what other animals that live in that habitat. Can tell how they survive. Will be into a science lesson.

Coffee filter Project

Image
Description: I had my coffee filter put down first. I drew stars with a white crayon so won't be able to see it yet. Then went over with blue crayon to make some lines. Started to paint the coffee filter, put yellow and mixed blue and red on the outsides. Used green paint to make a line to separate the outside from the inside. Used orange and yellow paint for the middle.  Activity: Can be used in a math lesson, can measure the length of the coffee filter and also the lines they put and areas in it.

Animal Safari

Image
Description: in this artwork, we had to draw an animal using a blue pencil. We first drew the animal upside down because it can make it easier for people to draw. I picked a rhino to draw. I then drew the rhino upside down. Then using warm colors, I made different patterns over the rhino. I did yellow swirls, orange lines and went sideways with a red crayon. You can't see the rhino but with a red paper, you will be able to see the rhino under. Activity- An extension activity could do is whatever animal they choose to draw; they can look up some fun facts about that animal. On another sheet of paper is write down the facts for their animal and then present their artwork and the facts about their animal.

Vince Von Gough flower

Image
Description: In this artwork, we used watercolors to create this. We first drew everything out with pencil. We drew the flowers to where they go. Then drew the pot and stems into the pot. We drew a baseline, where the table will be. While painting, had to use different types of painting, used regular wash paint, wet on went and scrapping for the types of painting.  Activity: An extension activity that could be done is using doing the same techniques for painting but draw and paint flowers in a field instead of a flower pot.
